KSrelief Clears 880 Mines in Yemen in One Week
KSrelief's "Masam" project announced that it had successfully cleared 880 mines planted by Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen during the third week of June 2023.
The mines included 6 anti-personnel mines, 143 anti-tank mines, 724 unexploded ordnance, and 7 explosive devices.
So far in June, a total of 4,294 mines have been dismantled. Since the beginning of the project, 405,213 mines have been dismantled, SPA reported.
The mines were randomly planted by Houthi militia across Yemen, causing harm to innocent victims, especially children, women, and the elderly.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, continues to prioritize the dismantling of mines from Yemeni territory and strives to improve the living conditions of Yemenis through the Masam project.
