Aden- A sudden power outage in the regions of Jazan, Asir, and Najran caused widespread disruption today amid reports of a potential Houthi drone attack targeting critical energy facilities. The incident resulted in the shutdown of power generation stations in these areas, leading to significant disruptions to the electricity network and leaving a large number of residents without power.
In a statement, the electricity operator announced that it had immediately activated its emergency response plans to manage the situation and restore service. The company confirmed that its technical teams are working intensively to contain the damage and gradually restore power to the affected areas, noting that electricity has already been partially restored in some locations.
