A wave of torrential floods sweeps through Yemen's Aden, with rain expected to resume on Thursday
The latest analysis of computer modeling outputs on the Arab Weather app indicates the possibility that the city of Aden will be affected by a new wave of moderate to heavy thunderstorms on Thursday, due to the continued flow of large amounts of tropical moisture into the region.
On Tuesday, the city experienced a massive wave of torrential rains and torrential floods, resulting in flooding caused by water flowing down from the mountains.
The floods injured several citizens and caused significant material damage, including the submergence of homes and shops and the disruption of traffic, particularly in the Al-Mualla neighborhood.
In a swift response, Governor Ahmed Hamed Lamlas issued urgent directives to health authorities to provide comprehensive medical care to the injured, at the expense of the local authorities, as part of efforts to address the damage caused by the floods and control the emergency situation.
