Arab coalition says Houthi claims of intercepting F-15 warplane is incorrect
The Arab coalition fighting to restore the internationally-recognized government in Yemen said on Wednesday claims by the Houthi militia that they intercepted a Saudi aircraft are “baseless and false.”
The Iranian-backed Houthi militia claimed on Twitter that it intercepted an F-15 warplane of the Arab coalition near the border with Saudi Arabia.
Lt. Col. Turki Al-Maliki, the coalition’s spokesperson, said what was published on Wednesday was in reference to a previous and unsuccessful attempt on July 1st, 2018 and the militant group’s militia claim “is an extension of the militia’s methodology of falsifying information.”
