Sana’a – The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reported that more than 500 individuals were internally displaced across Yemen during the first week of November 2025, highlighting the country’s ongoing humanitarian crisis and fragile security conditions.

According to the latest update from IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), the newly displaced persons were forced to flee their homes due to escalating tensions, localized conflict, and deteriorating living conditions in several governorates. The majority of displacement cases were recorded in conflict-affected areas such as Ma’rib, Al Hodeidah, and Taiz.

IOM emphasized that while the overall rate of displacement has fluctuated in recent months, Yemen remains one of the most displacement-affected countries in the world, with over 4.7 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) since the conflict began in 2015.

Humanitarian agencies continue to warn of the growing needs among displaced populations, including access to shelter, clean water, healthcare, and protection services. The IOM called for sustained international support to address the urgent needs of affected communities and to strengthen early recovery efforts.

The report comes amid renewed calls for a durable political solution to the conflict, as well as increased investment in stabilization and resilience programs to prevent further displacement.
