IOM Reports Over 300 New Displacements in Yemen Last Week
Marib -- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reported that at least 300 people were newly displaced within Yemen during the past week, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the war-torn country.
According to the IOM’s weekly update, families fled their homes due to conflict, insecurity, and deteriorating living conditions, joining the millions of Yemenis already struggling with internal displacement.
The organization noted that the majority of new displacements occurred in areas affected by armed clashes and instability, further straining local communities and humanitarian services.
The IOM emphasized the urgent need for expanded humanitarian assistance, including shelter, food, and medical support, to address the growing needs of displaced families.
It also called for sustained international support to help Yemen cope with the worsening crisis.
