The change is due largely to technical changes in cluster-level needs assessments, revised food security projections released in late 2022, as well as limited andfragileimprovements in levels of needs. At the same time, the cost of response to those needs, due to both changesininterventions, as well as the increased cost of many existent interventions, has mitigated the limited savings that might otherwise have accompanied the slight decrease in the figure of people in need.
