The Yemeni Cultural and Artistic Forum “Aslaf” concluded today, which was organized by the Yemeni Embassy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh over a period of three days under the patronage of His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Shaye Mohsen Al-Zindani.
The forum included a number of plastic art paintings by artists from various Yemeni governorates and a number of their Saudi colleagues, and workshops on Yemeni plastic art, Yemeni architecture, and Arabic calligraphy. A number of Yemeni fashion models presented models of traditional clothing belonging to various Yemeni regions, in addition to an amazing display of a number of One of the artistic dancing groups from various governorates of the Republic of Yemen.
The forum also included a number of specialized lectures presented by researchers and specialists in fine art, Arabic calligraphy, and Yemeni singing. The closing ceremony coincided with two valuable lectures, the first entitled “Art and its Impact on the Lives of Peoples” by Saudi artist Fahd Al-Rubaiq, and the other entitled “The Yemeni Fine Arts Scene and its Position in the International Art Movement” presented by the Yemeni artist Radfan Al-Muhammadi.
Following the closing ceremony, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Shaye’ Al-Zindani, His Excellency the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Ambassador Diaa Al-Din Bamakhrama honored all the participants in the cultural and artistic forum “Aslaf”, including visual artists, photographers, singers, lecturers, workshop trainers, fashion models, the organizing committee and all The supporters and partners in the success of the forum’s activities, led by the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, represented by the management of the Diplomatic Quarter Office. Many participants from the foreign diplomatic corps and citizens from various Arab countries who attended the events over three days considered that the forum, with its distinguished diversity, achieved an unprecedented success, crowning the efforts of Yemeni Ambassador Shayea Al-Zindani with unprecedented success since the outbreak of war in 2015 .
For his part, artist Jihad Al-Marfadi said that the Yemeni embassy succeeded, through the efforts of its staff and ambassador, in extracting an image of beauty from among the rubble of war and destruction.
For her part, visual painter Abeer Al-Awadi said that the success of the forum made the colors of Yemeni history soar high in the skies of Riyadh.
