"Funded by UAE" .. Equipment for Sixth Solar Power Plant Arrives in Yemen

Aden _ In a significant step toward addressing Yemen's energy challenges, equipment for the sixth solar power plant, funded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has arrived in the country. This project is part of the UAE's ongoing efforts to support sustainable development and provide long-term solutions to Yemen's electricity shortages.
The new solar power plant, located in the city of Hays in southern Al Hudaydah Governorate, is designed to generate 10 megawatts of electricity. The equipment, transported on 22 trucks, was received with great anticipation by local officials and residents. The project aims to restore electricity services to Hays and its surrounding rural areas, which have suffered from prolonged power outages due to the ongoing conflict.
Local authorities expressed their gratitude to the UAE for its generous support, highlighting the importance of this initiative in improving the quality of life for residents. The solar power plant is expected to serve as a model for renewable energy projects in Yemen, contributing to the country's transition toward sustainable energy solutions.
This marks the sixth solar energy project funded by the UAE in Yemen, following similar initiatives in Aden, Mokha, Shabwa, and other liberated areas. These projects underscore the UAE's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and fostering resilience in war-torn regions. The solar power plants not only provide immediate relief but also lay the groundwork for a more stable and sustainable future for Yemen.
