The International Agency of journalism and Strategic Studies (AIJES) announced in Paris today its support for the establishment of the International Network of Yemeni Journalists for the purpose of representing, training and qualifying Yemeni journalists inside and outside Yemen due to war conditions, on the sidelines of the training course organized by the Middle East Center for Media Training and Qualification of the International Agency for Press and Strategic Studies, with the participation of60 Yemeni media and journalists from inside and outside Yemen.Jamal Al-Awadhi, director of AIJES, indicated that the establishment of the network represents a response to the demands of a number of Yemeni journalists as a bridge for communication, exchange of experiences and job opportunities between Yemeni journalists and international media and human rights institutions.
On its third day, the training course in investigative journalism dealt with common errors in journalistic reports and investigations, and paper, human and digital sources. Dr. Abd al-Salam al-Ansi, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Media at An-Najah University Bogo, and Professor Iyad al-Samman, PhD researcher at the University of Toulouse, France, gave a detailed explanation of investigative journalism and its role in local and Arab issues, preparing and developing the skills of the participants in order to conduct long investigations and benefit from the experiences of international media institutions in preparing and qualifying the journalist.
And the comprehensive journalist who is able to create the event and cover the news in the areas of conflict and conflict in accordance with the conditions of occupational safety. The participants expressed their happiness to participate in this session and the extent of the benefit they will get in terms of interviews, observations, references, research and data collection.
