Yemen Gas Company Dispatches 461 Trailers to Address Supply Shortages
Aden — The Yemen Gas Company announced Friday the deployment of a fleet of 461 trailers carrying household gas to the interim capital Aden and several liberated provinces in the south and north, in a move aimed at easing recent supply shortages and stabilizing the market.
Company Executive Director Mohsen bin Wahit told the Yemeni News Agency that the shipments are sufficient to fill approximately 1,800,852 household gas cylinders, a volume expected to meet provincial demand and restore balance to the market in the coming days.
Bin Wahit added that the company acted immediately after tribal blockades obstructing deliveries were lifted, stressing that the current consignments are part of a comprehensive emergency plan designed to prevent a recurrence of the crisis.
The announcement comes after weeks of fuel supply disruptions that triggered price hikes and public concern, underscoring the importance of the company’s intervention in maintaining stability across liberated areas.
