Following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), and under the patronage of His Majesty the King's Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO's Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the second aid consignment was delivered to the Yemeni people.
Delivering the shipment at the Aden International Airport, RCO’s delegation, led by RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed was welcomed by the Minister of Local Administration Abdul Raqeeb Seif Fateh, Aden Governor Nayef Al-Bakri, Yemeni Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary and a number of senior officials.
Shaikh Nasser extended sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to HM the King for the kind humanitarian gesture to help the brotherly Yemeni people and keenness to ease the suffering of the Yemeni citizens under the difficult circumstances they are going through.
He paid tribute to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for their kind support to RCO.
Shaikh Nasser asserted that upon Royal directives, the second relief aid shipment was delivered at the Aden International Airport to cater to the needs of the brotherly Yemeni people regarding basic commodities and medical materials.
RCO Secretary-General affirmed that the second relief aid consignment, among the first after the liberation of Aden, would cater to the humanitarian needs of the Yemenis during the critical situation they were going through, noting that the kind humanitarian gesture is in line with HM the King’s noble gestures and constant keenness to extend a lifeline to stricken brotherly and friendly countries.
Al-Sayed and members of RCO delegation held a meeting with some Yemeni ministers and senior officials at the Yemeni Government’s interim headquarters in Aden, and conveyed to them greetings from HM King Hamad and the leadership, and their firm stances in support of brotherly Yemen within the "Operation Restoring Hope".
He affirmed that the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to RCO delegation by the Yemeni people and government reflect their love and appreciation to HM the King and the Bahraini government and people.
Members of the Yemeni government extended utmost thanks and appreciation to HM the King, and expressed their gratitude to the Bahraini leadership, government and people for their fraternal and humanitarian stances towards their country, which, they said, proves the depth of bilateral relations.
They stressed that the high-level delegation testifies too Bahrain’s serious efforts to deliver humanitarian relief aid to the Yemeni people, praising the kingdom’s constant noble gestures towards stricken people.
The Charge d'Affaires at the Yemeni Embassy in Bahrain Hassan Masoud extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his humanitarian gestures, interest in the situation in Yemen and constant keenness to deliver relief aid to the Yemeni people.
He also praised the fraternal humanitarian stances of the government, led by HRH Premier, and the support of HRH the Crown Prince, hailing Shaikh Nasser’s humanitarian efforts through RCO.
He asserted that Bahrain was among the first countries to provide relief aid to the Yemeni people, which, he said, reflects the genuine humanitarian principles adopted by its leadership and people, wishing the kingdom more progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM King Hamad.
