Abu Dhabi – Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, commented on Tuesday regarding the UAE’s recent statement on the ongoing developments in Yemen.

Writing on his account on the platform X, Gargash emphasized the UAE’s consistent approach: “As we have come to expect from the UAE, a position that places wisdom above emotion, and prioritizes stability over the noise of escalation.”

He added: “May God protect the UAE, shield our region from strife, and preserve its security, reason, and wise leadership.”

The remarks came after the UAE expressed deep regret over the statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concerning the UAE’s role in Yemen, describing it as containing “fundamental inaccuracies.”

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE firmly rejected being implicated in the tensions among Yemeni parties and denounced claims suggesting it pressured or directed any Yemeni faction to carry out military operations that could undermine Saudi Arabia’s security or target its borders.

The UAE reiterated its commitment to regional stability, stressing that its role in Yemen has always been guided by coordination with coalition partners and respect for the sovereignty of neighboring states.
