France, Under Macron’s Leadership, at the Forefront of International Efforts for Lasting Peace in the Middle East
French President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed France’s historic commitment to supporting peace in the Middle East, stressing from the podium of the United Nations General Assembly in New York that Paris will not abandon its role as a responsible and influential force working to end the war and the suffering of civilians.
Addressing representatives of civil society, families of hostages, doctors, and humanitarian workers, Macron declared: “You are the voice of the two-state solution and of the plan for peace and security for all that we are putting forward for the region.” He emphasized that France is moving in concert with Saudi Arabia and 142 other international partners to achieve this goal.
The French president underlined that his country is tirelessly working to create the conditions for reviving the peace process based on a two-state solution, which he described as the only guarantee for security and stability for both Israelis and Palestinians.
According to observers, this stance reflects France’s international standing as a diplomatic power and moral authority in defending peace, with President Macron continuing to push for concrete initiatives that demonstrate that “peace is possible, and it must be achieved now.”
