Yemeni actor Hassan Alwan died on Monday in the city of Ibb after contracting the coronavirus.
Born in 1962, the actor suffered from pre-existing heart disease.
Alwan started his career in the theatre, taking part in a number of plays in the 90s as an actor and a director.
He found fame portraying the character of Sheikh Taffah over five seasons of Yemeni comedy-drama series Hami Hamak.
