Sana'a — A Leader affiliated with Houthi militias Leader reportedly abducted two young girls tending sheep in a valley of Al-Ayoubi area, Qa’atabah district, north of the province, in a disturbing incident that underscores the worsening human rights situation in Yemen.
Residents said the girls were seized while carrying out their daily work in the rural pastures, sparking outrage among the community and renewed fears over the safety of women and girls in areas under Houthi control.
Families and witnesses described the abduction as part of a broader pattern of systematic violations against civilians, particularly targeting vulnerable groups.
Human rights advocates condemned the incident, warning that such abuses highlight the deteriorating state of protections for women and girls in Yemen.

The case adds to a growing record of abuses documented in northern Yemen, where repeated reports of harassment, forced disappearances, and intimidation have fueled calls for stronger international pressure to safeguard civilians and hold perpetrators accountable.
