UAE president concludes Egypt visit with pledge of closer ties
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi saw him off at Alamein International Airport, following what officials described as a “fraternal visit” marked by talks on bilateral relations and regional stability.
In a statement, the Egyptian presidency said that Sheikh Mohammed expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to him during his stay, while stressing the importance of ongoing coordination between the two states.
El-Sisi, for his part, emphasized the “historic ties” that bind Egypt and the UAE.
The two leaders last met in June in Abu Dhabi, where discussions centred on trade, investment, and efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.
Sheikh Mohammed also visited Cairo in March, joining El-Sisi for an iftar banquet.
Talks this week again highlighted plans to deepen economic and development partnerships, alongside a joint commitment to security and stability across the region.
