UAE President Reaffirms Enduring Support for Yemen’s Reform Agenda , State Restoration Efforts
Abu Dhabi — H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen and its efforts to restore state institutions, implement comprehensive reforms, and achieve lasting peace across the country.
In a statement issued following high-level consultations with Yemeni officials, His Highness emphasized the UAE’s firm commitment to supporting Yemen’s legitimate leadership and its endeavors to normalize conditions in liberated governorates, enhance public services, and promote national unity.
The UAE President commended the Council’s leadership, particularly its efforts to uphold the April 2022 consensus that led to the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council. He expressed confidence in the Council’s ability to advance the reform process, strengthen governance, and safeguard the interests of the Yemeni people.
His Excellency Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, conveyed his deep appreciation for the UAE’s continued support, describing it as a cornerstone of Yemen’s path toward stability and reconstruction. He also praised the UAE’s humanitarian and development contributions, which have played a vital role in alleviating suffering and rebuilding critical infrastructure.
The UAE’s reaffirmation of support comes amid ongoing regional and international efforts to end the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and reinforce legitimate governance structures capable of delivering peace, security, and prosperity.
