Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone conversation on Saturday with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi to discuss the latest developments in the ongoing US-Iran talks hosted by Oman.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE official expressed appreciation for Oman's constructive mediation efforts, which aim to build trust and foster stability in the region.

He also expressed confidence that Oman's diplomatic endeavors would succeed in narrowing the gap between Washington and Tehran and in creating a positive atmosphere for rebuilding trust and advancing peace, security, and global stability.

Earlier on Saturday, the Omani minister stated that the US-Iran negotiations in Muscat took place in a "friendly atmosphere," with the aim of promoting regional and international peace and stability.

Iran and the United States concluded "indirect" talks on Saturday in the Omani capital of Muscat in a "constructive" atmosphere, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The two-and-a-half-hour talks between Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff centered on Tehran's nuclear issue and sanctions relief, the ministry said in a statement.
