Saudi Arabia Provides Medical Equipment to Aden Hospital

Eight trailers, carrying various medical equipment for the rehabilitation of Aden General Hospital, reached Yemen’s interim capital on Saturday.
The equipment included medical supplies, electrical equipment and central cooling systems for the hospital. The rehabilitation project aims to improve facilities, expand clinics, renovate buildings and elevators and carry out sanitation, electrical and telecommunication works.
It also includes training the medical, administrative and professional staff and establishing a comprehensive electrical infrastructure. The project provides the required medical equipment, full furnishings and the import and setting up of an incinerator.
Aden General Hospital was established in 2004 as a grant from Saudi Arabia and with the funding of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).
A heart diseases center is currently being constructed and equipped by SDRPY.
Separately, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed 300 winter packs to over 300 orphans and refugees in Shabwa.
