Tariq Saleh and UAE Ambassador Discuss Support for Reforms, Vital Projects in Yemen
Aden - member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, met with Mohammed Al-Zaabi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing key development initiatives across the country.
The talks focused on UAE support for economic reforms, infrastructure rehabilitation, and humanitarian projects aimed at stabilizing Yemen and improving living conditions for its citizens. Both sides emphasized the importance of international partnerships in rebuilding Yemen’s institutions and restoring essential services in areas affected by conflict.
According to official statements, the meeting also addressed ongoing efforts to enhance governance, transparency, and investment opportunities, particularly in sectors such as energy, transportation, and public health. Tariq Saleh praised the UAE’s continued commitment to Yemen’s recovery, noting its role in supporting vital reconstruction efforts and capacity-building programs.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi reaffirmed the UAE’s readiness to assist Yemen in implementing reform strategies and launching sustainable development projects, especially in liberated areas where local authorities are working to restore stability and economic activity.
The meeting comes amid renewed regional efforts to consolidate peace and promote long-term recovery in Yemen, following years of conflict and humanitarian crisis. Both leaders expressed optimism about deepening cooperation and aligning priorities to meet the urgent needs of the Yemeni people.
