Aden -- In a televised address marking the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, President Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, reaffirmed the Council’s unwavering commitment to national partnership and consensus as the foundation for restoring state institutions and ending the Houthi-led coup.
Al-Alimi emphasized that the Council and the internationally recognized government remain united in their pursuit of a just and inclusive political solution. He described national partnership as a “fixed and irreversible choice” to fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people for peace, stability, and equal citizenship.
The President’s remarks come amid renewed efforts to consolidate the anti-Houthi front and strengthen coordination among political factions, military units, and civil institutions. He praised the legacy of the October Revolution as a symbol of resilience and national unity, urging Yemenis at home and abroad to rally behind the state-building project.
“We are determined to restore the institutions of the Republic and end the coup of the Iran-backed Houthi militias,” Al-Alimi declared, highlighting the Council’s commitment to dialogue, reform, and inclusive governance.
The speech also addressed the humanitarian and economic challenges facing the country, calling for intensified international support and cooperation. Al-Alimi reiterated the Council’s openness to peace initiatives that respect Yemen’s sovereignty and democratic aspirations.
Observers view the statement as a reaffirmation of the Council’s legitimacy and a message of defiance against attempts to fragment the national front. It also signals a renewed push to mobilize diplomatic, military, and civil resources toward ending the conflict and rebuilding the state.
