Washington Reaffirms Support for Yemen’s PLC
Aden — The United States has reiterated its commitment to continue supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government and the Presidential Leadership Council, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy to Yemen.
The embassy emphasized Washington’s ongoing partnership with Yemeni authorities, highlighting efforts to strengthen governance, stability, and peace initiatives across the country. The statement underscored that U.S. support remains focused on backing the council’s role in guiding Yemen through its current challenges and advancing a political process under United Nations auspices.
Diplomatic officials noted that the United States will maintain close coordination with regional and international partners to bolster humanitarian assistance and security cooperation, while reaffirming its stance against threats undermining Yemen’s sovereignty and stability.
