Yemen : High-Level Consultations underway to Implement Riyadh Agreement

Yemeni parliament Speaker Sultan al-Bukrani stressed the importance of joint work between state authorities to help the country end its “dangerous” situation.
The speaker held in Riyadh on Sunday talks with lawmakers, a presidential aide and prime minister on the need to implement the Riyadh Agreement.
“High-level Saudi-sponsored consultations are underway to achieve that,” he revealed.
Prime Minister Moaeen Abdulmalek, for his part, briefed the gatherers on the political, economic, military and services situation in the country and the government’s efforts to tackle them.
He also discussed the “urgent challenges” in the interim capital Aden.
He underlined the need to “return to and implement” the Riyadh Agreement in full, saying it will benefit all sides.
The agreement is aimed at “unifying forces and all efforts inside the state to defeat the Iran-backed Houthi coup and its racist agenda,” he added.
He hailed the “brotherly and honest role” played by Saudi Arabia in standing by Yemen and sponsoring the Riyadh Agreement. The PM added that expectations are high on the Kingdom to contribute in saving the Yemeni economy and currency from collapse.
“Differences in opinion over national choices should not be used as political tools to destroy the state,” he declared.
