UAE strongly condemns Houthi rebels occupation of its Embassy in Yemen
ABU DHABI- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) strongly condemned the occupation by al-Huthi group of its Embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, calling it a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
In a statement issued today, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the evacuation of the embassy immediately and returning it to the embassy staff, adding that the UAE retains the right to bring perpetrators of this attack to justice and accountability.
"The occupation of the embassy and the evacuation of embassy staff will not stop UAE's support for the restoration of stability to sisterly Yemen", the statement said.
