Landmine Explosion Kills Two Houthis, Injures Five in Hodeidah
Hodeidah — Two members of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia were killed and five others wounded in a landmine explosion near Hodeidah airport in western Yemen, local sources reported.
The blast occurred southeast of the city during military drills and simulation exercises carried out by Houthi fighters. According to the sources, one of the injured sustained a severe injury to his leg.
The incident took place last week as the militia conducted extended training operations stretching from the airport’s perimeter to areas near the Mashaqna coast, along the road linking Hodeidah city with the Durayhimi district.
