Yemen : Houthi pledged to "escalate" after the strongest US strikes

After new attacks launched by the United States in cooperation with Britain, on Saturday evening, targeting 18 Houthi targets in Yemen, including weapons stores, missiles, drones, air defense systems, radars, and helicopters, the Iranian-backed group announced an escalation of its “attacks.”
The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said in a statement published on the “X” platform on Sunday that they will confront the American-British escalation with more qualitative operations in the waters of the Red and Arabian Seas.
He also confirmed that an American oil ship in the Gulf of Aden was targeted with a number of missiles, in addition to targeting a number of American warships in the Red Sea using drones.
For its part, both Washington and London threatened to continue striking Houthi positions as long as attacks on cargo ships in this vital international shipping lane continue.
The US Central Command, Centcom, explained in a statement published on the X platform on Saturday that the strikes carried out by US forces in cooperation with British forces, and with the support of other countries, targeted sites and areas used by the Houthis to launch attacks on commercial ships.
It added that the strikes targeted weapons and missile storage facilities, drone systems, air defense systems, radars, and helicopters.
