According to the Security Media Center, the boat — captained by a Sri Lankan woman — was stopped eight nautical miles from shore while en route from Djibouti toward Yemeni coasts.
Authorities reported that the vessel was loaded with approximately 3,200 sacks of beans, each weighing 50 kilograms, along with 200 sacks of coffee and several welding cylinders.
The Coast Guard confirmed that the crew, the boat, and its cargo have been detained pending completion of legal procedures.
