Hadramout – The Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces announced Sunday the discovery and seizure of an illegal, makeshift oil refinery hidden inside a farm owned by a northern figure in the oil‑rich Al‑Khush‘ah area of Hura district, Hadramout Valley.

The STC published photos on its official website showing the raid carried out by its units against the farm, which housed the unlawful refinery.

A military source at the scene of Operation Promising Future stated: “Our units uncovered a random refinery connected to pipelines stretching from inside the farm, owned by an influential figure from Amran governorate, to the main oil fields in Al‑Khush‘ah.”

The Southern forces stressed that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities that undermine national resources and exploit Hadramout’s oil wealth.
