A Massive Fire Erupts at Saba Mall in Southern Yemen’s Sana’a
Sana’a – A massive blaze broke out late Saturday at the Saba Mall commercial complex in the Al‑Asbahi district, south of the Houthi‑controlled capital Sana’a, causing extensive material damage.
Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that flames engulfed large sections of the busy shopping center, considered one of the city’s most prominent commercial landmarks.
Fire crews and residents continued efforts through the night to contain the blaze as tongues of fire spread rapidly inside the building.
Initial footage circulating on social media indicated that the fire originated from within the mall before quickly spreading across multiple floors. The exact cause of the incident remains unknown at this time.
No casualties have been reported, though sources confirmed that the financial losses are significant, with widespread destruction across the complex.
