Yemen : 3 STC Soldiers Injured in Drone Attack on Security Belt Camp in Abyan
Abyan — Three soldiers from the Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces were injured in a drone strike targeting a Security Belt camp in the Loder sector of Abyan governorate, according to local sources.
The attack, carried out by an unidentified drone, struck the camp on Monday, leaving the soldiers wounded. The injured personnel were immediately transferred to a medical center in Loder to receive treatment.
No group has claimed responsibility for the assault, which comes amid heightened tensions and sporadic attacks in southern Yemen. Security officials noted that investigations are underway to determine the source of the drone and the party behind the strike.
The incident underscores the ongoing volatility in Abyan, where STC-affiliated Security Belt forces continue to face security challenges in maintaining stability across the region.
