Government Recovers Bodies of 20 Fighters in Tribal-Mediated Exchange with Houthis in Marib
Marib – The internationally recognized government of Yemen has recovered the bodies of 20 of its fighters in a tribal-mediated exchange with Houthi forces in Marib governorate, central Yemen.
Local mediator in the file of prisoner exchanges and recovery of bodies, Abdulwahid Al-Mosabi, said in a Facebook post that authorities in Marib received 20 bodies from the Houthis, just days after handing over 26 bodies of Houthi fighters killed on the frontlines.
Al-Mosabi explained that the operation was the result of nearly two years of continuous efforts aimed at convincing all parties of the importance of separating this humanitarian aspect from political disputes and other files, in order to preserve human dignity and alleviate the suffering of families.
