Yemeni Doctor Killed in Armed Robbery After Withdrawing Funds in Sana’a
Sana’a — Dr. Wafaa Saddam Al-Makhlafi, a Yemeni physician, was shot and killed on Friday in the capital Sana’a during an armed robbery that occurred shortly after she exited a money exchange office where she had collected a financial remittance.
According to local security sources and eyewitnesses, unidentified gunmen intercepted Dr. Al-Makhlafi in a busy district of the city, attempting to seize the cash she had just withdrawn. The assailants opened fire during the confrontation, fatally wounding her before fleeing the scene.
