Murder Shakes Crater District in Aden Governorate Amid Allegations of Personal Motive
Aden – Security authorities in Aden have launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday evening in the Crater District (Ṣīrah), a historic and densely populated area of the city.
According to initial reports, a man identified as Ridan allegedly shot and killed another young man in cold blood, following a personal dispute. Witnesses claim the suspect accused the victim of harassing a female relative prior to the attack.
The incident took place near a residential zone, triggering panic among locals and prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
The victim’s identity has not yet been officially released, and authorities are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the killing. Police have cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt for the suspect, who reportedly fled the scene.
