Yemen : Landmine Explosion in Al-Jawf Kills Woman, Leaves Another Severely Injured
Al-Jawf -- A landmine explosion in Yemen’s Al-Jawf province claimed the life of a woman and left another civilian with severe injuries, in what local sources described as yet another crime added to the record of Houthi militia violations.
Tribal and local sources confirmed that the blast occurred in Wadi Waqaz, Al-Masloub district, when the victim was crossing the area.
The landmine, planted indiscriminately by the militia, detonated suddenly, killing her instantly. Another woman sustained grave injuries that required the amputation of both legs, turning her life into a permanent tragedy of suffering.
This painful incident is part of a continuing series of massacres caused by Houthi-laid mines.
Local monitors have documented similar accidents since the beginning of this month alone, resulting in deaths and life-altering injuries among innocent civilians.
