YFCA Q2 Bulletin Edition April-June

EQUITABLE PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL RESPONDERS
YFCA has taken the lead in ongoing deliberations with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) to promote local humanitarian leadership and equitable partnerships with local responders in Yemen. The collective effort aims to produce the HCT Yemen Localization Strategy currently underway. This partnership is a major step towards including Yemeni local NGOs in decisionmaking for all humanitarian operations in the country. The YFCA’s leadership in these efforts will help ensure that the needs and perspectives of local Yemeni communities are fully represented and integrated into the humanitarian response.
