Saudi project MASAM clears Yemeni lands of mines, reported that its technical teams were able to remove approximately 3,000 explosive remnants of war in lands under the influence of the internationally recognized government during the month of February.

Project manager Osama Al-Gosaibi explained that last week (February 24 - March 1, 2024) alone, mine experts were able to remove 669 explosive materials, which varied between 537 unexploded ordnance, 109 anti-tank mines, and 23 anti-personnel mines, and cleared an area of 250,600 square meters during this period. The statement indicated that Masam, from the start of its work at the end of June 2018 until the end of February 2024, succeeded in removing and destroying a total of 434,002 explosive materials, including 6,489 anti-personnel mines, 143,621 anti-tank mines, 275,891 unexploded ordnance, and 8,001 improvised explosive devices.
