Yemen : Houthis Stop Water Tankers from Reaching Taiz

Taiz – Houthi forces blocked water trucks from entering the city of Taiz through the eastern checkpoint in Al-Hawban on Saturday. This move has worsened the already serious water shortage in the city.
What Happened:
- Drivers were stopped for hours and told not to come back.
- Some were forced to pour out their water before leaving.
- Starting Sunday, no water deliveries will be allowed into Taiz from Al-Hawban.
Taiz has been suffering from a lack of clean water for years. Most people rely on water brought in by trucks from Al-Hawban, where wells still work. Cutting off this supply will make the crisis even worse and drive up prices.
