The United Arab Emirates (UAE) continues to solidify its position as a global leader in customs and trade facilitation, leveraging advanced technologies and innovative strategies to enhance its competitiveness on the world stage. 

With key initiatives led by Abu Dhabi Customs and Dubai Customs, the UAE has achieved remarkable milestones in streamlining customs operations and fostering economic growth.

Abu Dhabi Customs recently unveiled its 2024–2028 Strategic Plan, which focuses on adopting cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and machine learning to enhance customs efficiency and security. 

The plan aims to improve pre-arrival goods clearance, reduce processing times, and ensure compliance with international standards, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's status as a preferred trade destination.

Meanwhile, Dubai Customs has set new records in customs transactions, processing over 30.4 million transactions in 2023—a 17.5% increase from the previous year. 

This achievement underscores the UAE's commitment to economic openness and its role as a hub for international trade. Dubai Customs has also introduced digital services to expedite business processes, contributing to a 98% customer satisfaction rate.

These efforts align with the UAE's broader vision to establish itself as a global economic powerhouse.
