Unidentified Gunmen Assassinate Houthi Military Official in Western Yemen's Ibb
Ibb — Local sources reported on Saturday that unidentified armed men assassinated a senior military official affiliated with the Houthi movement in western Ibb governorate, central Yemen.
According to eyewitnesses, the official was targeted while traveling in the district’s outskirts.
The attackers opened fire before fleeing the scene, leaving the official dead instantly. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
The incident highlights the growing insecurity in Houthi-controlled areas, where assassinations and armed attacks against militia figures have intensified in recent months.
