The Yemeni "Khabar" agency quoted local sources in Sana'a as saying that the Houthi militia surrounded the union's headquarters and occupied nearby houses before raiding the headquarters and kidnapping the head of the Yemeni Bar Association, Abdullah Rajeh, and a number of the union's members.
She explained that the raid came in an attempt to prevent the union from holding the meeting, which was scheduled to show solidarity with members of the union who were targeted during the last period by Houthi militia members.
The Yemeni Bar Association had invited its members to attend the expanded meeting, today, Thursday, starting at 10:30 am, in the union hall located in Al-Raqas Street in front of the transit station (Al-Mafzar), in central Sana'a, to discuss the escalation of attacks and violations that affect them in the areas under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia. pro-Iran.
The Sana'a Bar Association confirmed, in a statement addressed to the security director of Sana'a, who is loyal to the Houthi militia, that it had been decided to hold an expanded meeting for male and female lawyers.
The syndicate expressed its hope to provide protection for the hall and outside, referring to the possibility of the Houthi militia raiding it.
