Yemen : Explosions Rock Sanaa as U.S. Raid Targets Houthi Stronghold in Saada

A series of powerful explosions shook the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, late Saturday night, as U.S. airstrikes targeted Houthi-controlled areas. The strikes, described as part of a broader military campaign, also focused on Saada, a northern province considered a stronghold of the Houthi rebels.
According to local reports, the airstrikes in Sanaa caused widespread panic among residents, with windows shattered and buildings damaged. In Saada, the operation targeted key Houthi military sites, including missile storage facilities and command centers. The Houthi-run health ministry reported significant casualties, including women and children, with the death toll rising to at least 31 and over 100 injured.
The U.S. Central Command stated that the strikes were aimed at neutralizing Houthi threats to international shipping in the Red Sea. Houthi leaders condemned the attacks, vowing retaliation and accusing the U.S. of committing "war crimes."
The situation has escalated tensions in the region, with international observers expressing concern over the humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict. The strikes mark one of the most extensive U.S. operations in Yemen in recent years.
