STC Forces Foil Houthi Infiltration Attempt in Yemen's Lahj
Lahj — The Southern Armed Forces announced that they successfully repelled a Houthi infiltration attempt targeting their positions along the Tor al-Baha front in Hayfan district, western Lahj governorate, southern Yemen.
According to Der’a al-Janoub, the official media outlet of the southern security and military forces, units from the Fourth Hazm Brigade engaged in fierce clashes with Houthi fighters in the al-Hajma sector.
The confrontations involved the use of mortar shells and medium-caliber weapons.
The statement confirmed that the fighting inflicted heavy losses on the Houthi elements, forcing them to retreat and flee the battlefield.
Several fighters were reported killed or wounded during the engagement.
Southern forces also recovered the body of one Houthi fighter killed in the clashes and transferred it to their positions.
This latest incident underscores the ongoing volatility along the Lahj frontlines, where Southern Armed Forces continue to confront repeated attempts by Houthi militias to advance into strategic areas.
