Deadly mine blast in southern Red Sea near Yemen
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), a mine blast occurred in the southern Red Sea near Yemen, causing the death of 3 Egyptian fishermen.
The Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen saved the other 3 Egyptians on the fishing boat.
The Yemeni Houthi rebels were accused by Turki Al Maliki, the coalition spokesman, of causing the blast that happened in the international waters.
As said by Turki Al Maliki, "the Iran-backed Houthi militia's continued planting and deploying naval mines is a serious threat to maritime navigation and international trade in the south of the Red Sea and Bab-el-Mandeb strait".
