Yemen : Fire Destroys Homes of Displaced Families in Hajjah, No Casualties Reported
Hajjah – Local sources reported that a fire broke out on Saturday evening in the Al‑Deir area of Hairan district, Hajjah governorate one of the districts under the internationally recognized government destroying homes belonging to displaced families but causing no human casualties.
According to witnesses, the blaze completely consumed the house of displaced resident Fawaz Ali Mohammed Franti, resulting in heavy material losses, including his belongings, household contents, and a sum of money.
The flames then spread to a neighboring home belonging to Khalil Mohammed Hamad Bishi, leaving both families without shelter.
The incident has sparked widespread concern among residents, who described the damage as severe. Community members have appealed to authorities and humanitarian organizations for urgent intervention to provide assistance and support to the affected families.
