The UAE on Thursday reiterated the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's resolve to liberate Yemen from rebels, terrorist organisations and their allies.
Receiving visiting Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said the coalition is determined to restore the legitimate government, security, stability and peace in Yemen.
He said the UAE strongly believes that the security of the region and Arab countries is indivisible and that the security of the UAE is inseparable from the security of all Arab countries. "We will strongly support our brothers in the face of any plot aimed at destabilising the security and stability of our countries, as well as preserving our Arab identity."
Shaikh Mohamed renewed the UAE's comprehensive and continuous support, and humanitarian initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of the Yemeni people to overcome the difficult times.
President Hadi briefed Shaikh Mohammed on the latest developments in Yemeni in the light of a series victories achieved by the Arab coalition.
Hadi praised the UAE's stance under the leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support the Yemeni people and its humanitarian contributions.
Hadi pointed to efforts being made by the UAE's leadership, government and people in raising the spirits of the Yemenis in the times of war.
The meeting also discussed peace efforts based on United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2216 and its implementation mechanisms, as well as the importance of full compliance of its terms without conditions. - Wam
