France Expresses Deep Concern Over Rising Violence Against Women in Yemen
Aden - The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern regarding the increasing incidents of violence and discrimination against women in Yemen.
In an official statement, France condemned the reported violations of women's rights, particularly in areas affected by conflict and under the control of armed groups.
The ministry emphasized that women in Yemen are facing serious threats to their safety, freedom, and dignity, including physical abuse, arbitrary detention, and restrictions on movement and employment.
France called on all parties to the conflict to respect international humanitarian law and ensure the protection of civilians, especially women and girls.
France reaffirmed its commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at defending human rights and promoting gender equality.
It also urged the global community to take coordinated action to address these violations and to ensure that women are included in peacebuilding and reconstruction processes.
